Women’s History Month 2025
March is here, and that means it’s Women’s History Month — one of my absolute favorite times of the year in the classroom! 💁🏻♀️💜There’s something special about dedicating this month to shining a light on the brilliant, bold, and badass women who have paved the way for us today. 😍🔥
As a teacher, I love watching my students light up as we explore stories of trailblazers like Malala Yousafzai, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Maya Angelou. From research projects, to bulletin board displays, to scavenger hunts, I try to incorporate all sorts of fun stuff throughout March to celebrate fabulous women around the world! 🌍
My NEWEST resource is a soft rainbow bulletin board display that is INTERACTIVE, baby! The display comes with a banner that displays 20 women, their names, and a QR code your students can scan to learn about each woman! It comes with the quote “CELEBRATE HERSTORY,” a bulletin board boarder, cute decals AND two student activities that go with the board! 🙌🏼
The all-time fave resource in my store is by far the QR code scavenger hunt (can you tell I like QR codes lol). I have a QR code scavenger hunt for several different months, but I especially love the purple posters that come with the Women’s History Month Scavenger Hunt. 💜 Put the posters up around the room (comes with 30 different women) and have your students explore and research as they complete the scavenger hunt!
The scavenger hunt is the perfect pre-research activity to give students ideas on who they might like to research for the Instagram Research Project. Students research one woman and her life, then create a (fake) Instagram account via Google Slides. The research project comes with EVERYTHING you need…and I mean EVERYTHANG! 🧐🔬
I have even more resources in my TPT store for Women’s History Month! I want to make it easy peasy for y’all to celebrate in your classroom. Enjoy this month (especially if you have a spring break in there somewhere), and remember - you are a shining star of a teacher!
Cheers,
